Lara Croft's journey in Tomb Raider: Underworld takes her through a variety of locations, spanning several spots across the globe. With the exception of Croft Manor, this is the first time Lara visits these locations.
- Mediterranean Sea
Supposedly housing ancient Norse ruins, this is the location Lara's father was going to study next -- had he not died in the process. Professor Eddington knew of his plans and the coordinates of this area, so Lara sets off to find out whether her Father was right or not.
- Coastal Thailand
After discovering Natla's prison aboard the Megaera, Amanda's ship, Lara is told that the answers she looks for are in Thailand. Also, according to Natla, entrance to Helheim is not possible without Thor's hammer. Thailand is a location that Richard Croft had explored in the past, while he looked for answers to Amelia's fate himself.
- Croft Manor
Richard had destroyed an important archaeological site to keep a dangerous artifact away from Natla. He left a clue that only Lara could understand, however, so she knows the next obvious place to look is her grandfather's crypt beneath her mansion. - Southern Mexico
Lara was right -- her father had detailed everything he found in Thailand before destroying it. A map pinpointed the location of the Meginjord, Thor's belt, on the Yucatán Peninsula.
- Jen Mayen Island
While Lara was dealing with the dense rainforest of Mexico, Zip was studying the registries made by Richard. He eventually locates the Mjolnir's resting place, deep in the Jen Mayen island. Properly equipped with Thor's gauntlets and belt, it's time for Lara to claim Thor's war hammer.
- Andaman Sea
With the power of the Mjolnir, Lara Croft boards the Tisiphone, another ship of Amanda's, to meet Natla again. She travelled far and wide to gather the artifacts needed to find the Norse underworld Amelia has been taken to, according to Natla.
- Arctic Sea
Entrance to Helheim is not possible without the Mjolnir or Odin's Ritual -- a ritual Natla knows how to perform. Lara and Natla have to work together to enter the underworld, but Lara is aware of Natla's true intentions.
